Graveside funeral services celebrating the life of Karen Sue Montgomery, 81, of Johnstown, will be held at Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown, 10 A.M., Saturday, December 16, 2023, with Pastor Matthew P. Van Winkle, as officiant.

Karen, a member of the Johnstown United Methodist Church, died at Mt. Carmel St. Ann's Hospital on Thursday, December 7, 2023. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 28, 1942, to the late Charles and Iva Dell (Barcus) Montgomery.

A 1960 graduate of Johnstown High School, Karen retired from Buckeye Union Insurance Company after working many years.

The last of her immediate family, Karen leaves behind many nieces and nephews and their families, including, Paula Dodrill-Evans, Crystal (Jerry) McFellin, and Holly Dodrill, Blake (Samantha) Linger, Natalie (Randy) and Ellie Whitson.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Jane (Joe E.) Dodrill and Charlene (Don) Hollis; brothers, Darwin (Margie) Montgomery, Ralph (Betty) Montgomery, and Paul (Wilda) Montgomery; and several nieces and nephews.
