Joseph S. Kubik, 91, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.  He was born Newark, Ohio on December 17 ^th , 1930, to the late Connie and Irma Kubik.

Joe was a graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School and served in the United States Navy for two years.  He married the late Maureen Moore in 1952, and together they lived in Coshocton and Warren, Ohio., finally relocating to Vero Beach in 1979.

Following his time in the service, Joe worked in the insurance field and owned his own agency for many years.

Joe held a private pilot's license and loved to fly.  He was an avid bass and offshore fisherman, and wrote a weekly column for the Press Journal on fishing during the 90's.  He had a unique penchant for making a 3 pound bass look like a 6 pound bass by holding it closer to the camera.

Joe is survived by his son Tom (Pam) Kubik of Charlotte; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Maureen Lee Moore; and son, Terry.

Funeral services with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Newark, will be held at a later date.
