A Funeral Mass for John Stephen Svatora, infant son of Mike and Meghan (Brown) Svatora, of Newark, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M. Thursday, January 8, 2015, with Rev. JCP Sullivan, Parish Priest as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Guardian Angel section of St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.


In addition to his parents, John is survived by his siblings, Andrew and Anna; his maternal grandparents, Stephen and Kathleen (Annecillo) Brown; paternal grandparents, Mike and Carol (Svoboda) Svatora; paternal great-grandmother, Anita (Ratkovec) Svoboda; uncles, Dave (Sarah) Svatora and Greg (Laura) Svatora; cousins, Matt, Zach, Teddy, Skylar, and Summer Svatora.

John was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Ralph (Frances) Annecillo, and Leland (Helen) Brown; paternal great-grandparents, Leander Svoboda and Elmer (Iona) (Georgia) Svatora; his uncle, Jared Brown; and twin cousins, Luke and Joey Svatora.

The family requests that memorials in John's memory be made to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 40 Granville Street, Newark, OH 43055; or Newborns In Need, Greater Newark Chapter, 2734 Seminary Road, Newark, OH 43056.
