A Funeral Mass for John Patrick Blowers, 54, of Harbor Hills, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, May 11, 2016 with Fr. Dean Mathewson as celebrant; and Fr. Carl Subler, Fr. Bob Penhallurick, and Rev. JCP Sullivan, Parish Priest, as concelebrants. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.


Patrick passed away at his home on Thursday, May 5, 2016. He was born in Newark, Ohio on March 22, 1962 to Conrad and Joyce (Brown) Blowers of Newark.


A 1981 graduate of Newark Catholic High School, Patrick worked for many years in sales and management in the food service industry. He was also an entrepreneur, owner and operator of various small businesses.

Patrick was an avid golfer and fan of Ohio State football. However, his lifelong passion was always his family; most especially his son, Corey and grandson, Cole. Actively involved in so many aspects of their life, he lived for their every joy, accomplishments, hopes and dreams. Patrick always lived life on the edge, had a keen sense of humor, and always had a smile on his face.

In addition to his parents, Patrick is survived by his son, Corey John (Brie) Blowers; his grandson, Cole Blaze Blowers; his siblings, Michael D. (Martha) Blowers, Nanette T. Friend,
C. Christopher Blowers, Amy Lynne Dozier, and Matthew R. (Jennifer) Blowers; his aunt, Beverly J. Kelley; special family friends, Kristen (McCluskey) Nigg, John "Buddy" (Carol Sue) McCluskey; many nieces, nephews and cousins.


Patrick was preceded in death by his sister, Laura Beth; his brother Daniel T.; his grandparents, Roland and Kathleen (Penick) Brown, and Roy and Sarah (Pierce) Blowers; and very special friend and companion, Mary LeFevre.
