Calling hours celebrating the life of Jesse T. Moffitt Sr., 45, of Newark, will be held at the REED EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, from 4-6 P.M., Thursday, May 17, 2018, with a funeral service held at 6 P.M.

Jesse died on Friday, May 11, 2018. He was born in Newark, Ohio on March 19, 1973 to Gary and Mary (Baker) Moffitt, both of Newark, Ohio.

Jesse attended Newark High School and worked for many years as a sub-contractor in the drywall and painting industry. He was known to many as the "class clown" and enjoyed entertaining friends and family with his many goofy antics. Jesse enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his family, especially when it involved food.

In addition to his parents, Jesse is survived by his children, Jessica (Brian) Elmendorf, Jesse Moffitt Jr., Kayla (Ethan) Fetter, Sara Crouse, twins Justin and Jason Wolfe, and twins Ashlee and Allison Moffitt; grandchildren, Mina, Armoni, Avarah and Amya; his fiancé, Lisa Henry; siblings, Troy Baker, Crystal (Jeremy) Davis and Gary (Brandi) Moffitt; nieces and nephews, Franchesica Kidd (Etienne Philippi), Jason Kidd, Kensi Davis, Clayton Moffitt, Payton Moffitt, Greg Baker, Sabrina Lacy and Troy Baker Jr.

Jesse was preceded in death by two nephews, Jeremy Jr. and Daren Davis.

The family requests that memorials in Jesse's name be made to the Reed-Egan Funeral Home to assist with expenses.
