A Funeral Mass for Jess Andrew Mullenniex, 83, of Gambier, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, June 1, 2016 with Rev. JCP Sullivan, Parish Priest, as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with military honors provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
Jess, a United States Navy Korean War Veteran, died at the Selma Markowitz Care Center of Hospice of Central Ohio on Saturday, May 28, 2016. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 15, 1933 to the late Jess and Thelma Mullenniex Sr.
A parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Jess was retired from Lucent Technologies, formerly AT&T and Western Electric, where he worked for many years as a tool and die maker.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dolores (Drieling) Mullenniex; his sons, John, Michael, Richard (Christina), Lee, and Thomas Mullenniex; three grandchildren, Tiffany, Matthew, and Dominic; great granddaughter, Anna Grace; sister, Jean (Bob) Crego; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jess was preceded in death by his grandson, Emmanuel; brother, Jimmy; and sister, Jo Ann.
Friends and family may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M., Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 P.M.
