Funeral services for Jerry R. Collins, 73, of Heath, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 30, 2015 with Pastor Tim Sowards as celebrant.

Jerry died at the Heath Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Thursday, December 25, 2015. He was born in Nelsonville, Ohio on April 26, 1942 to the late Roscoe F. and Thelma Collins.

Jerry worked for many years as a union carpenter. In his retirement, Jerry enjoyed watching HGTV and the History Chanel with his little dog "Tappy" curled up on his lap.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Sowards) Collins; his daughter, Laura Ramey; step-children, Randall (Patti) Foehl, Ronald Jr. (Melissa) Foehl, and Rhonda (John) Reese; his grandchildren, Morgan and Megan; step-grandchildren, Amanda, Melinda (John), Xavier, Chris, Nicole, Rebekah (Matthew); step-great-granddaughter, Coraline; nephew, Jeffrey Collins, cousins, Tom Lewis and Brian Lewis; and special family friends, Bonnie and Tim Bernard.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Collins; brother, Dale Collins; and sister, Ruth Ann Maneely.

Friends and family may call at the funeral home 4-8 P.M., Tuesday, December 29, 2015 and for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
