Funeral services celebrating the life of Jeffrey J. Wieber, 70, of Newark, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 11 A.M., Tuesday, April 18, 2017 with Msgr. Paul Enke as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with military honors provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
Jeff, a United States Army Veteran, died at his home on Saturday, April 15, 2017. He was born in Newark, Ohio on June 27, 1946 to the late John and Effie (Marriott) Wieber.
Jeff, a graduate of Blessed Sacrament Elementary and 1964 graduate of Newark Catholic High School, worked for Continental Can, Relizon, and was retired from Duplex where he worked for many years as a printer.
Known as a good friend to many, Jeff cherished the great times spent laughing with close family and friends. He was an avid reader and enjoyed golf, baseball, and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Beverly (Wells) Wieber; his sons, John Wieber and Paul (Amy) Wieber; grandchildren, Gwyneth, Johnathon and Taylor Wieber; brother, Michael (Vicky) Wieber; brother-in-law, Roy (Peggy) Wells; sister-in-law, Diana Ronan; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Jim Wells and John Ronan.
Friends and family may call from 4-7 P.M., Monday, April 17, 2017 at the funeral home.
