Obituary

A Funeral Mass for Jeffrey Dale Grigsby, 45, of Newark, will be held at St. Leonard Catholic Church, 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 13, 2014 with Fr. William Hritsko as celebrant. Military honors will be provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.

Jeffrey, a United States Air Force Veteran, died at the Kobacker House on Friday, December 5, 2014. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 1, 1969 to Dale and Cheri (Bishofberger) Grigsby of Newark.

Jeffrey, a 1987 graduate of Lakewood High School, worked for many years as a systems engineer for Hewlett Packard. Jeffrey was very athletic and enjoyed sand volleyball and cycling. He was an amazing man who touched many lives with inspiration and motivation.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Susan (Walsh) Grigsby of the home; his daughter Erika Grigsby and her mother Tessa O'Neil, both of Columbus; his brothers Nicholas D. Grigsby of Heath and Heath L. (Amy) Grigsby of Newark; his uncles Paul Grisby, Larry (Ercyl) Grigsby, Roger (Linda) Grigsby; great uncle Jim Shumate; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter and Connie Walsh; his sisters-in-law, Tracy (Tom) Buday and Rachel Walsh; and many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call from 5-8 P.M., Friday, December 12, 2014 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark.

The family requests that memorials be made to The James Development Office, 660 Ackerman Road, P.O. Box 183112, Columbus, OH 43218-3112.
