Funeral services for Jeffrey J. Armstrong, 58, of Newark, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 12:30 P.M., Friday, May 30, 2014, with Fr. Michael Reis as celebrant and Military honors provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. Private inurnment will take place at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Newark.



Jeffrey, 1974 graduate of Newark Catholic High School, died at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, Ohio on Friday, May 23, 2014. He was born in Newark, Ohio on April 8, 1956 to the late Harry M. and Marjorie (Driscoll) Armstrong.



Jeffrey received a Bachelors Degree in electronics and then enlisted in the United States Navy where he served for 26 years. He retired from the Navy in 2004 as a Chief Petty Officer.



He is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Elizabeth "Beth" and George Sissea of Newark; and Mary Deborah "Debbie" and Dave Read of Stilwells, Kansas; nieces and nephews, Chris, Laurie, Jessica and Caleb; and great nieces and nephews, Alex, Jacque, Trevon, Parker and Marcus.



Friends and family may call at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service on Friday.



The family requests memorials to be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 5018 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018.
