Funeral services celebrating the life of Jeff Allen Rhoads, 52, of Newark, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 1 P.M., Tuesday, February 14, 2017 with Chaplain Jeff Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Wilson Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the funeral home for one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday.

Jeff died at his home on Thursday, February 9, 2017. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 14, 1964 to the late Russell E. and Betty Lou (Keefer) Rhoads.

Jeff, a graduate of Utica High School and Licking County JVS, worked for many years with the Plumber & Pipefitters Union Local 189. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and caring for his beloved cats.

He is survived by his siblings, Sandie Faris, Pattie (David) Wenger, and Russ Jr. (Janet) Rhoads; nieces and nephews, Allison, Erin, Casey, Tessa, Katie, Ryan, and Tara; great-nieces and nephews, Rylen, Christeena, Maddie, Elizabeth Ann, Brady, and Baylee; great-great-nephew, Kamdyn; aunts and uncles.

In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his niece, Jennifer Fickell.
