Obituary

A Funeral Mass for Jane E. Rubeck, 84, of Newark, will be held at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 10:30 A.M., Friday, October 10, 2014, with Fr. Jonathan Wilson as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Jane died at Arlington Care Center on Monday, October 6, 2014. She was born in Newark, Ohio on October 8, 1929 to the late Philip and Anita (Stewart) Hillbrant.

Jane was a longtime parishioner of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament where she was also a member of the Marian Club. She helped her husband on the family farm for many years, and was a member of Madison Grange and the Farm Bureau.

Jane is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Jeff Fortune of Huntington, Vermont, Linda and Thomas Fitzsimmons of Newark, Rose and Garold Blackburn of Marietta, Georgia, and Rita and Kenneth Paspy of Winston Salem, North Carolina; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; her sister and brother–in-law, Jean and Joseph Finkle of Newark; special niece, Jane Wachaya, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Rubeck in 1994; and her great-grandson, Nathan J. Vogelmeier.

Friends and family may call from 5-8 P.M., Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 P.M.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Blessed Sacrament Building Fund, 394 E. Main Street, Newark, OH 43055; or the Frank and Patricia Rubeck Catholic Foundation, 257 E. Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43215-3703.
