Calling hours for James D. Spring, "Dinger", 75, of Newark will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 6-8 P.M., Friday, January 29, 2016.
James died at the Kindred Care & Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, January 23, 2016. He was born in Newark, Ohio on July 18, 1940 to the late Kenneth and Jessie (Wallace) Spring.
A graduate of Newark High School, James served with the Ohio National Guard for four years and taught auto body repair at the Licking County JVS for 21 years until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cynthia (Dillehay) Spring; his children, John Paul (Denise) Spring, Stephen P. (Gail) Spring, Kimberly A. Spring, and Cody James Spring; his grandchildren, Catey (Eric) Wohlford, Nikki (Kevin) Williams; his great-grandchildren, Emma and Elli Wohlford, and Annette Williams; sister-in-law, Brooke Spring; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his sister, Marge (Stan) McMannis; and his brother, Charles Spring.
