Graveside funeral services celebrating the life of Howard "Steve" Fetty, 76, of Granville, will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, Somerset, 12:45 P.M., Tuesday, February 15, 2022, with Fr. David Sizemore as celebrant.

Steve, a parishioner of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, died at Middleton Senior Living on Saturday, February 12, 2022.  He was born in New Lexington, Ohio on January 1, 1946, to the late Howard Raymond and Olive May (Dorsey) Fetty.

Steve, a New Lexington High School graduate, was retired from Owens Corning where he worked in the Wool Plant.  Prior to this, Steve worked in the newspaper industry and was a composer with The Newark Advocate for over 27 years.

An outdoorsman, Steve enjoyed birdwatching, hunting and fishing, and also spent time woodworking.

He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Lisa (Scott) Harris and Debbie (David) Ridenour; 3 grandchildren, Taylor (Glenn) Lewis, and Nicholas and Sabrina Ridenour; 2 great-grandchildren, Maicen and Murphy Lewis; sister, Sue Saylor; sisters in-law, Ruth Prichard and Catherine "Kitty" (Bill) Blosser; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Rosemary Fetty, in 2020; and brother-in-law, Harvey Prichard.
