A Funeral Mass for Helen Theresa Dorsey, 91, of Newark, will be held at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 10:30 A.M., Saturday, June 20, 2015 with Fr. Jonathan Wilson as celebrant. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Helen, a lifelong parishioner of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, died at her home on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 with her family and friends by her side. She was born in Newark, Ohio on September 1, 1923 to the late Victor and Margaret (Ferenz) Lukasko.

Helen was a 1941 graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School. She attended the Newark School of Nursing and became an RN, teaching courses at the school and working as a surgical nurse at the Newark Hospital. In 1952 Helen joined the practice of R.G. Plummer M.D., and worked as an office nurse for the next 33 years until her retirement.

She is survived by her son, John David Dorsey, of Newark; lifelong friend, Art (Martha, dec.) Wilson; her dedicated caregiver, Linda Allen; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Dorsey; her brothers, Leo J. and Raymond P. (June) Lukasko; and her sister, Mary Margaret (Harvey B.) Smith.

Friends and family may call from 5-7 P.M., Friday, June 19, 2015 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil Service will be held at 6:30 P.M.
