Calling hours with military honors celebrating the life of Harry Daniel Sturman, 70, of Newark, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark; 5-7 P.M, Tuesday, May 28, 2024, with military honors provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance at 7:00 P.M.

Dan, a United States Army Veteran, died at Licking Memorial Hospital on Saturday, May 18, 2024. He was born in Newark, Ohio on October 28, 1953, to Harry Thomas (Toni) Sturman, of Pataskala, and the late Doris (Huffman) Adams.

A graduate of Newark High School, Dan worked at The Bike Shop and was retired from Newark Overhead Door. He was an avid cyclist, enjoyed mountain biking, and was also a car enthusiast.

He is survived by his daughter, Shannon (Edward) English; grandchildren, Dalton and Elias; step-father, James Adams; half-sisters, Tammy Kiger and Kim Sturman; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, Dan was preceded in death by his half-sister, Lisa Adams; and brother-in-law, Ron Kiger.
