Graveside funeral services celebrating the life of Harold F. Rauch, 81, of Newark, were held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, with Fr. David Sizemore as celebrant.

Harold, a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, died at Riverside Methodist Hospital on Monday, August 15, 2022.  He was born in Newark, Ohio on June 29, 1941, to the late Jacob and Icel (Weisend) Rauch.

A 1959 graduate of Newark Catholic High School, Harold served with the Army National Guard, was retired from Columbia Gas and worked on the grounds at C-TEC. In addition, he farmed for many years and greatly enjoyed participating in tractor pulls.

Harold will be greatly missed by his wife of 57 years, Mary Lou (Ogle) Rauch; his children, Barbara (Travis) Cummins, Laura Rauch, Cathleen (Daryl) Guggenbiller, Aaron Rauch, and Jeannie (Chris) Billman; 10 grandchildren, Danielle (Thomas), Zachery, Courtney (Troy), Zachary (Eliza), Taylor, Madison, Spencer, Sydney, Mariah, and Hunter; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his brothers, David and Paul Rauch, and his infant brother who died at birth.

The family requests memorials in Harold's name be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Haven House, 115 Wilson Street, Newark, Ohio 43055.
