Funeral services celebrating the life of Harold W. "Butch" Miller, 75, of Heath, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 11 A.M., Saturday, October 29, 2016 with Fr. Jonathan Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery with military honors provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
Butch died at the Thornville Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. He was born in Pomeroy, Wisconsin on September 12, 1941 to the late Walter and Beverly (Woodhouse) Miller.
A United States Air Force Veteran, Butch worked for many years at the Newark Air Force Base and retired from the Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He enjoyed scuba diving, golf, and was an avid bowler.
He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Tom and Rose Miller of Buckeye Lake; his step-children; Scott Stemm of Hebron, Ruthan Stemm of Cambridge, and Vikki (Bob) Wise of Granville; 8 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; his brother, Gary Miller; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his wife, Carol A. (Henry) Miller; his daughter-in-law, Cindy Stemm; and sister-in-law, Venita Miller.
Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 9-11 A.M., Saturday, prior to the funeral service.
