A Funeral Mass for Georgeann M. Pierce, 58, of Newark, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Thursday, July 14, 2016 with Rev. JCP Sullivan, Parish Priest as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Georgeann, a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, died at her sister's home on Saturday, July 9, 2016. She was born in Newark, Ohio on January 20, 1958 to the late Homer and Mary Pat (Ehret) Curry.

Georgeann, a 1976 graduate of Newark High School, worked for many years as the cafeteria cook at Newark Catholic High School. She enjoyed being in the kitchen and also helped with the Curry Annual Christmas Dinners. Georgeann was an animal lover and enjoyed doting on her two cats, Bob and Tom. She was also known for her competitive nature while playing video games.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Lewis Pierce; her brothers, Lee (Katie) Curry and Dennis (Janet) Curry; sister, Mollie (Larry) Phillips; sister-in-law, Lynda Curry; brother-in-law, Ronald (Kathy) Pierce; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Georgeann was preceded in death by her brother, Timothy P. Curry; and nephew, Jon Curry.

Friends and family may call at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 4-7 P.M., Wednesday, July 13, 2016 where a Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 P.M.
