Frederick James DeVito Sr, 79, of Heath, died at his home on Thursday, April 12, 2018. He was born in Newark, Ohio on September 14, 1938 to the late Albert D. and Mary L. (Danese) DeVito.

Fred attended St. Francis de Sales High School and was a 1956 graduate of Newark High School. He served in the National Guard and was employed by Kaiser Aluminum and Roper. In the early 1970's, Fred purchased the property for his business, DeVito's Auto Parts, which operated as a part store until the late 1980's when it became and wholesale and retail auto dealership.

In addition to his interest in automobiles, Fred enjoyed traveling, especially the many trips he and Vicki would take with lifelong friends, Dick and Mary Barrett.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Vicki (Tull) Corson; his children, Frederick J. (Andrea) DeVito Jr. and Lisa DeVito; step-children, Robert (Beckie) Corson, Anthony (Jennifer) Corson and Bradley Corson; grandchildren, Ashley, Megan, and Nicholas; step-grandchildren, Robert Jr., Joseph, Dylan, and Nicholas; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his brothers, William B. DeVito and Albert D. "Sonny" DeVito Jr.

At his request, there will be no calling hours or memorial services. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
