Private funeral services for Frances Joan Margaret Hayes, 85, of Reynoldsburg, will be held at Newark Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mr. Deacon Robert Ghiloni as celebrant.

Frances passed away at her home on Monday, September 7, 2015. She was born in Tonawanda, NY on March 13, 1930 to the late Thomas and Ruth (Monet) Gilliam.

Frances married her husband, William Hayes, in 1949. They lived and traveled around the world until William retired from USAF in 1966 when they returned to Newark. Frances was retired from the Big Bear Store, Southgate, where she worked in the Bakery for many years and truly enjoyed her job, co-workers and all of her customers.

She is survived by her children, Laura (David) Barraza, Michael Hayes, Virginia (Kenneth) Connor, and Thomas (Elaine) Hayes; her grandchildren, William Barraza, Michael (Shawn) Connolley, Joshua Hayes, Carrie Connor, Cory Connor and Gene (Marlee) Hayes; 6 great grandchildren; great-great grandson; and many loved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, MSgt William W. Hayes, USAF, Ret., her grandson, David A. Barraza; her sister, Shirley Hutchinson; and her brother, Richard Gilliam.
