Evelyn Ruth Ritchey, 82, of Newark, died at the Selma Markowitz Care Center of Hospice of Central Ohio on Monday, February 11, 2019. She was born in Zanesville, Ohio on September 15, 1936 to the late Harold R. and Geneva (Rushing) George.

She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Ritchey Sr.; her children, Stephen Edward Smith, Charles Allen Smith, Timothy Lee Smith, Charles E. Ritchey Jr., Rebecca A. Ritchey; her sister, Dorothy M. George; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her brother, Don.

At her request, there will be no public services held.
