A Funeral Mass for Evelyn M. Blair, 74, of Newark, will be held at a later date in her hometown of Rogers City, Michigan.
Evelyn, a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, died at the Flint Ridge Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, July 15, 2017. She was born in Rogers City, Michigan on August 30, 1942 to Evelyn (O'Dell) Cherrette Presley of Michigan, and the late William O. Cherrette.
Evelyn worked in retail at several local stores including Sears, JC Penney, and Target. She also sold Mary Kay and was a member of the Zonta Club.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Thomas Blair; her daughter, Dawn Blair; sister, Waunetta (Freddie) Seymour; sisters-in-law, Sharon Cherrette, Earldean Stamper, and Dolores Blair; brother-in-law, Larry Kozikowski; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, Evelyn was preceded in death by her brother, John Cherrette.
The family requests that memorials in Evelyn's name be made to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43058; or the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, 460 West 10th Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43210.
