A Funeral Mass for Esther Rosetta Finck, 63, of Newark, will be held at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 3, 2014. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Esther, a parishioner of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, died at the Kindred Health Care Center on Monday, June 30, 2014. She was born in West Virginia on August 2, 1950 to the late Charles Robert and Esther Louise (Johnston) Lafferre.
Esther, a Licking Valley High School graduate, was retired from the Newark Air Force Base and had worked as a notary for Goodwill Industries Used Car Lot. She was a member of NARFE and was a supporter of the Wounded Warriors Project. She also loved spending time with her beloved dogs.
Esther is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Brian and Machelle Finck of Zanesville, David Finck and Matthew Finck, both of Newark; her 7 grandchildren, Katie, Kirstin, Tanner, Alexis, Ethan, Damon, and Nicole; her sister, Marlene Hindel; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her brothers, Larry and James Lafferre.
Friends and family may call from 4-7 P.M., Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil Service will be held at 6:30 P.M.
