Obituary

A Funeral Mass for Estella Bernadine Norrocky, 104, of Newark, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, January 6, 2015, with Fr. Bob Penhallurick as celebrant, and Fr. William Hritsko and Rev. JCP Sullivan, Parish Priest as concelebrants. Interment will be held at 2:30 P.M. in New Lexington Cemetery.

Estella, a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, died at the Chapel Grove Inn on Thursday, January 1, 2015. She was born in Lithuania on March 3, 1910 to the late Joseph and Julia Paessun.

Estella, a prayerful person, was very devoted to her Catholic faith and attended daily Mass at St. Francis where she created many lasting friendships. She enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds, and caring for the many pets she had over the years. Estella embraced a kind and gentle spirit, but could always make those around her laugh with her quick witted humor. Above all, Estella cherished her family and gave endless love to those closest to her.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Yvonne (Phil) Belmont of Newark, and Rose Mary (Alfred) Bacchiocchi of Milford, Massachusetts; her grandchildren, Kevin (Kim) Karam, Crystal (Jim) Hennel, Moses (Sue Ann) Karam, Michael (Julie) Norrocky, Chris Irwin, Terri Ann Berardi, Robert Bacchiocchi, Alan (Laurie) Bacchiocchi, and Lisa (Dino) Dennis; 13 great-grandchildren plus one on the way; her brothers, Louis (Mary Helen) Paessun and Anthony (Pat) Paessun; nieces and nephews; and many extended family, especially Genuta Mulford. Estella is also survived by the many devoted caretakers and nurses at Chapel Grove Inn who cared for her so intently these past several years.

In addition to her parents, Estella was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Norrocky; her daughter, Patricia (Moses) Karam; her son, Francis "Sonny" Norrocky; her sister, Elizabeth; her brothers, Frankie, Paul, and Stanley; 2 infant siblings; and her son-in-law, Dr. Terry L. Long.

Friends and family may call from 4-6 P.M., Monday, January 5, 2015 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Rosary Service will be held at 5:30 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 40 Granville St., Newark, OH 43055; or the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box 430, Newark, Ohio, 43058.
