A Funeral Mass for Elizabeth "Libby" E. Weisend Arbaugh, 97, of Newark, will be held at St. Leonard Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Thursday, June 2, 2016 with Fr. William Hritsko as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Libby died at the Flint Ridge Care Center on Sunday, May 22, 2016. She was born in Lowell, Ohio on June 23, 1918 to the late John and Mary (Lang) Rauch.
Libby was a longtime parishioner of St. Leonard Catholic Church where she volunteered as a greeter. She was a member of the Heath Senior Citizens and was retired from Big Bears Stores where she worked for many years.
She is survived by her sons, Dale (Judy) Weisend and Donald (Chris) Weisend; her daughters, Ellen (Tom) Gaunder, and Judy (Bernie) Bradley; her step-daughters, Donna (Dallas) Ferrell and Glenda (Butch) Ruff; her nine grandchildren, Karen, Mike, Scott, Joan, Danny, Sheri, John, Dennis, and Andy; her step-grandchildren, Chris, Kim, Chuck, Lori, and Shelly; and many great grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Libby was preceded in death by her first husband, Delbert Weisend; her second husband, Donald N. Arbaugh; two grandchildren, Stevie Weisend and Barb Gaunder King; her brothers, Louis, Floyd, Clarence, Clement, Ernest, John, and Jake Rauch; and her sisters, Agnes Glaub, Hilda Forsythe, Helen Miller, Mildred Sandman, Anna Hawke, and Mary Hannigan.
Friends and family may call from 4-7 P.M. Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil Service will be held at 6:30 P.M.
