A  Mass of Christian Burial for Elaine Keeler, 77, of Heath, will be held at St. Leonard Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, April 30, 2014.  Interment will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Elaine died at the Selma Markowitz Care Center of Hospice of Central Ohio on Saturday, April 26, 2014. She was born in Loveland, Ohio on March 2, 1937 to the late Kenneth and Elsa (Hill) Franz.

Elaine was a parishioner of St. Leonard Catholic Church where she was an active volunteer. She worked as an usher at the Midland Theater and Weathervane Playhouse, and enjoyed traveling with Freedom Years and Heritage Hall. She was also a member of a cake club and several card clubs.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Mike Keeler of Heath, Kevin (Pam) Keeler of Reynoldsburg; Theresa (Craig) Miller, Kate (Terry) Bettis, and Karen Keeler, all of Newark; their father, Dale Keeler; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Kenneth (Loretta) Franz, Winona Franz, Harriet (Richard) Wilson, Charles Franz; her sister-in-law Carol Franz; her card playing companion, Dick Furbee; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her sons, Mark Keller; and her brother, Dennis Franz.

Friends and family may call from 4-7 P.M., Tuesday, April 29 2014 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, Ohio.
