Funeral services for Edward David Kilokowski, 92, of Newark, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 24, 2014, with Fr. Michael Reis as celebrant.


Edward, a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, died at the Selma Markowitz Care Center of Hospice of Central Ohio on Monday, July 21, 2014. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio on January 28, 1922 to the late Francis and Mary (Smalenski) Kilokowski.

Edward, a United States Army WII Veteran, was retired from Rockwell International where he worked for many years. He was a member of Rockwell Retirees, Rockwell Axel Club, and the Rockwell Golf Club. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, and was an avid gardener.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lois (Foster) Kilokowski, of the home; his son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Carol Kilokowski of Heath; his daughter, Anna Kilokowski of Newark; his grandchildren, Jason and Joshua; his brother and sister-in-law, John and Martha Kilokowski of Walton, Kentucky; his sister, Helen Davis of Hershey, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his sister and brothers-in-law, Jeanette (Raymond) Hoover, and Eugene Davis.


Friends and family may call at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
