Funeral services for Dorothy Ellen Zahner, 86, of Newark, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 11 A.M., Friday, April 17, 2015 with Pastor Steve Brand as celebrant. Interment will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Dorothy, a 1946 Newark High School graduate, died at the Selma Markowitz Care Center of Hospice of Central Ohio on Friday, April 10, 2015. She was born in Hebron, Ohio on December 5, 1928 to the late John and Naomi (Salyers) Malloy.

Dorothy was retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas where she worked as a secretary for 36 years. She was a member of the Fiberglas Retirees Club, Fiberglas 25 Year Club, and Fiberglas Group 1.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen (Michael) Mangia of Reynoldsburg, and Barbara and (David) Montgomery of Newark; her grandchildren, Tiffany Sheehan, David (Shannon) Montgomery, Julie (Tim) Quandt, and Jennifer (John) Drew; 10 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Eugene Malloy of Newark, and Harold "Bud" Malloy of Marian; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Zahner; her brother, Edgar; and her sisters-in-law, Mary and Evelyn Malloy.

Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 4-8 P.M., Thursday, April 16, 2015.
