A funeral service for Doris Evelyn Snyder, 77, of Newark, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Peace United Methodist Church, 235 Diley Rd., Pickerington, OH 43147. Friends and family may call at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.  

Doris passed away at the Newark Rehabilitation Center on Sunday, March 22, 2026. She was born in Ligon, Kentucky on March 30, 1948, to the late Homer and Kathleen (Clay) Reynolds.

She is survived by her sons, Todd Matney and Brandon (Laura) Matney; grandchildren, Laural and Lilly; brother, Charles (Karen) Reynolds; sister, Kim (John) Ryan; and many loved nieces and nephews. Doris lived in many places during her life but Newark became home. In her time there, she was surrounded by many caregivers and friends including those at the Rehabilitation Center, Deb Burden, Joanne DeMaria and many others at Candlewick Commons.
