A Funeral Mass for Doris M. Bagent, 83, of Newark, will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, January 25, 2017, with Fr. William Hritsko as celebrant. Interment will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
Mrs. Bagent, a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, died at Licking Memorial Hospital on Saturday, January 21, 2017. She was born in Newark, Ohio on November 24, 1933 to the late John B. Anderson and Grace E. (Bowman) Anderson Lindeman.
Doris attended Newark High School and worked at Lakewood Hardware and in the cafeteria at Lakewood Schools. She also worked for many years as a greeter at Boring Sheridan Funeral Home.
Doris is survived by her daughters, Debra "Day" J. Jeffers (Gene Bostic) and Tonya E. (Marc) Camp; her grandchildren, Scott J. (Amee) Rine; Katie A. Camp (Scott Gillig) and Abby M. (Larry) Thomas; great-grandchildren, Seth J. and Zachery J. Rine, Brayden O. Gillig, and Ignatius J. Thomas; her sister, Carol (Richard) Humphreys; her sister-in-law, Ethel Becker; foster daughter, Deanne (Jamie) Kelly; and foster granddaughter, Kayla Kelly; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Bagent, niece; and foster grandson.
Friends and family may call from 4-7 P.M., Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil Service will be held at 6:30 P.M.
