Obituary

A Funeral Mass for Doris I. Annarino, 84, of Newark, will be held at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 10:30 A.M., Thursday, February 11, 2016 with Fr. Jonathan Wilson as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Doris died at her home on Friday, February 5, 2016. She was born in Hartford, CT on July 3, 1931 to the late Alphonse and Marie Clarida (Lagace) Girouard.

Doris, an avid card player, was a parishioner of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament where she also sang in the choir. She was retired from the Ohio Department of Taxation where she worked for many years. Known for her homemade peanut brittle and butter mints, Doris also liked to bake, knit, crochet and was a talented seamstress. She was devoted to her family and cherished the many memories made with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Jeannette Dennis, Armand (Jacque) Annarino, Teresa Fralick, and Patricia Annarino, of Newark; grandchildren, David Dennis, Nicole (Randy) Hilleary, Eric (Terra) Annarino, Tabitha (Andy) Lewis, Tim Keith, Michael Annarino, Jacquelyn Annarino, Michael Fralick, and Mandy Fralick; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Rita Osborne and Jeannette Clarke; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Josephine Layton, George (Karen) Annarino, Ralph Annarino, Veronica (Ronald) Edwards, all of Newark; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her son, Michael Annarino; her children's father, John C. Annarino; and her siblings, Ann, Adrian, Alice, Armand, Charlie, Mary, Freddie, and Raymond.

Friends and family may call from 4-8 P.M., Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark.

The family requests that memorials in Doris' memory be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities, 116 N. 22nd Street, Newark, OH 43055.
