Graveside Funeral services for Doris M. Adams, 88, of Newark, will be held at Newark Memorial Gardens, 11 A.M., Monday, January 9, 2023, with Fr. Mark Ghiloni as celebrant.

Doris died at the Selma Markowitz Care Center of Ohio's Hospice of Central Ohio on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. She was born in Newark, Ohio on November 3, 1934, to the late Walter and Gertrude (Nadolson) Huffman.

Doris attended Newark High School and enjoyed knitting and caring for her cats.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Adams; her son, Dan Sturman; granddaughter, Shannon (Edward) English; great-grandsons, Dalton Wilson and Elias English; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Adams; and brothers, James, Paul, and Gerald (Iona) Huffman.
