A Mass of Christian Burial for Donna J. Laughery, 81, of Nashport, will be held at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, December 17, 2025, with Fr. Tony Dinovo as celebrant. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newark.

Donna died at her home on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. She was born in Newark, Ohio on April 6, 1944, to the late Donald P. and Martha J. (Anderson) Donavon.

A 1962 graduate of Newark Catholic High School, Donna worked as the office administrator at Cedar Hill Cemetery for 30 years. She was a lifelong parishioner of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament where she also led the former CCD Program for many years. Donna was devoted to her family and cherished her role as wife, mother, and grandmother.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Charles L. Laughery; son, Steven Laughery; daughter, Michelle Arcus; daughter-in-law, Chris Hopkins; 8 grandchildren, Dylan, Victoria, Austin, Corbin, Christopher, Krisma, Skyletta, and Brittania; 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her son, Scott; and sister, Margaret Offenberger Kraner (Beeman Offenburger, James Kraner).

Friends and family may call at the Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 Green Wave Drive, 4-6 P.M., Tuesday, December 16, 2025, with a vigil service held at 5:30 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Church of the Blessed Sacrament.
