Private funeral services for Donna Lee "Secretary" Hoey, 75, of Newark, will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lockbourne, where Donna will be laid to rest with her family.

Donna died at her home on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. She was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on July 13, 1948, to the late Donald W. and Leatrice J. (Tata) Hoey.

A 1966 graduate of Newark Catholic High School, Donna worked in patient services at Licking Memorial Hospital. She had a vibrant personality that was like no other and loved completing puzzles and games. She strived to be a good mother.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters, all of whom have their mother's laugh, Jackie (Ronnie) Cox, Holly Coffield (Boubker Belhaiba, whom Donna affectionately called "Redneck Bob"), and Brandy (Tim) Krak; grandchildren, Cody Cox, Courtney Cox, Caleb Cox, Bryson Krak, Brody Krak, and Delaney Krak.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Hoey.

The family requests that no money be spent on flowers or plants, but rather a donation be made to help the poor.
