A Funeral Mass for Dr. Donn R. Huf MD, 83, of Newark, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Monday, December 7, 2015, with Rev. JCP Sullivan, Parish Priest, as celebrant. Private inurnment will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Columbus.

Donn died at his home on Wednesday, December 2, 2015. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 4, 1932 to the late Karl and Geraldine (Brown) Huf.

Donn, a graduate of St. Charles Preparatory School, attended The Ohio State University where he earned his MD in 1959. He completed his internship from White Cross Hospital, followed by his residency in anesthesiology at The Ohio State University. Donn then worked as an anesthesiologist at Riverside Methodist Hospital from 1962 until his retirement in 1993.

He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and a member emeritus of the American Medical Association and the American Society of Anesthesiologists. He was an avid walker, gardener, and enjoyed traveling.

Donn is survived by his wife of 35 years, June (Toland) Huf; his daughter, Mistiann Happney; daughter-in-law, Xiu Grimm; grandchildren, Jonathan Ocanas, Mariann Happney, Lily Yang, and Winter Grimm; his brothers-in-law, Robert (Doris) Toland, and Carl (Donna) Toland; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Donn was preceded in death by his son, William Grimm.
