Graveside funeral services for Donald Joseph Stokes, 58, of Heath, will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, 11:30 A.M., Wednesday, July 8, 2015 with Fr. Jonathan Wilson as celebrant and military honors provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.

Donald, a United States Navy Veteran, died at his home in Heath on Saturday, July 4, 2015. He was born in Newark, Ohio on June 18, 1957 to the late Richard Francis and Rose Marie (Soliday) Stokes.

Donald, an avid euchre player, was a "jack of all trades" and worked in the construction industry for many years, mostly as a roofer.

He is survived by his sons, Daniel Stokes (Christopher Tippie-Stokes), William (Kayla Anne) Stokes, and James (Ashley Renee) Stokes; his grandchildren, Banen Michael, Makiyah Elizabeth, Emilyn Rose, Nathan Robert, and James Richard; his siblings, Richard and William Stokes; Colleen (Colin) Ward, and Peggy Stokes; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by two infant brothers.
