A Mass of Christian Burial for Donald J. "Don" Saling, 70, of Nashport, will be held at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 26, 2021, with Fr. Lonzo as celebrant.  Interment will follow in Kirkersville Cemetery with military honors provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.  Friends and family may call at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, from 9:00-10:30 a.m. Monday before the Mass.

Don, a United States Army Vietnam War Veteran, died at his home on Thursday, July 22, 2021.  He was born in Marietta, Ohio on November 9, 1950 to the late Leo and Mary (Cornett) Saling.

Don was a 1969 graduate of Licking Valley High School and a longtime Owens Corning employee. He was active in the Owens Retirees and enjoyed hunting and collecting.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his wife Kay (Norris) Saling.

He will be greatly missed by his son, Jon (April) Saling; grandchildren, Nick and Abby; brothers, Paul (Rhonda) Saling, Larry (Cindy) Saling, and Charlie (Roberta) Scott; sisters, Diane Hoover, and Rose Scott; and many nieces and nephews.
