Dixie Lee Trial, 87, passed away while surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, February 26, 2017. Dixie was born in Indiana, and was a resident of Newark, Ohio before relocating to Yorktown, VA in 2014. She retired as a school teacher from Lakewood High School in 1989 after 27 years of teaching.

Dixie is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Gregory Trial; a daughter, Alyce G. Harmeson (Ken) of Yorktown; two sons, Alain F. Trial (Beverly) of Santa Barbara, CA and Derek L. Trial of Spokane, WA; a brother Jerry R. Crews (Norma) and a sister Joan Bowman, both of New Albany, IN; and 2 granddaughters, Michelle Chrismon (Ben) and Meagan Harmeson (Taylor). She was preceded in death by a sister Margaret J. Shannon.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 am on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Yorktown. The family will receive friends from 7-8 pm on Thursday, March 2, at Amory Funeral Home, Grafton.
