Funeral services celebrating the life of Daniel David McCleery, 58, of Columbus, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 24, 2018, with Fr. David Sizemore as celebrant. Friends and family may call at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Dan died at his home on Tuesday, February 13, 2018.  He was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 27, 1959, to Jon and Janet (McKee) McCleery of Newark.

Dan, a graduate of Northland High School, was owner and operator of McCleery Carpets and Installation for over 25 years. Athletic in nature, Dan loved baseball and played with several Columbus City leagues. He was a former little league coach and also enjoyed the sport of golf.

In addition to his parents, Dan is survived by his children, Jordan (Tabitha) McCleery and Nicole McCleery; grandson, Liam; siblings, Theresa (David) Smith, Joseph (Seana) McCleery, and Anthony McCleery; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Victoria Arrowood and her brother, Dan.

The family requests memorials in Dan's name be made to a charity of one's choice.
