A Mass of Christian Burial for Connie D. Minton, 77, of Newark, will be held at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, May 26, 2021, with Fr. Anthony Lonzo as celebrant.  Interment will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Connie, a 1962 graduate of Newark Catholic High School, died at the Ohio State University Medical Center on Friday, May 21, 2021.  She was born in Lancaster, Ohio on February 26, 1944, to the late John O. and Anna (Allen) Cordle Sr.

Connie worked for 22 years at State Farm Insurance and had also worked at the Twin Fair Store.  She was a longtime parishioner of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament where she served as an Adorer and volunteered with their elementary school latch-key program.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 56 ½ years, George Minton Sr.; her children, George (Cathy) Minton Jr., Georganna (Bill) Phelps, Dusty (Milly) Minton, and Eric (Johnnie) Minton; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Barb Hufford, Joyce Cost, and Pam (Walt) Weisgerber; her brother, Mike (Kathy) Cordle; sister-in-law, Carol Cordle; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her brother, John O. Cordle Jr., and her brothers-in-law, Benny Hufford, Steve Cost and Earl Marshal.

Friends and family may call at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 4-7 P.M., Tuesday, May 25, 2021, where a Vigil Service will be held at 4 P.M.
