A Funeral Mass for Conrad Christopher (Chris) Blowers, 68, of Newark, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 40 Granville St, Newark, OH 43055, 9 A.M., Saturday, July 11, 2026. A family visitation/brunch will follow in Murphy Hall.
In addition, a Celebration of Life Bonfire will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M, Sunday, July 12, 2026, for all who want to commemorate Chris, at the beautiful White Oaks Ravine, 9575 Brownsville Rd, Glenford, OH 43739 – Come admire his last working project contribution!
A lifetime member of St. Francis de Sales, Chris passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2026, in Melbourne, FL. He was born in Newark, Ohio on July 10, 1957, to the late Conrad and Joyce (Brown) Blowers, formerly of Granville, OH.
A 1976 Granville High School graduate, Chris proudly worked for many years with his father as co-owner of Pallet Manufacturing Co. of Newark. He would later own and operate his own pallet company, Newark Pallet Manufacturing. He was a man of many talents and fearless in the face of adversity with an optimism that never let him quit! He established C.C. Blowers Enterprises and serviced customers throughout Central Ohio with both residential and commercial contractor work of construction, plumbing, electrical, snow plowing, mechanic, & carpentry, among many other skills. He also owned a private trucking company, Blowers Trucking, traveling across the continental U.S.A. until his passing. He was an active member of the community, hiring from the Salvation Army, volunteering in a suicide prevention call center, working alongside his father to care for the maintenance of St. Francis de Sales Church and the cemeteries, and always ready to give someone a helping hand.
Chris will be greatly missed by his children and grandchildren of whom were his absolute pride and joy. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Marie Blowers Bancroft (Russ) of Melbourne, FL, Carlos Christopher Blowers of Lakewood, CO, and Jason Antonio Blowers (Alisha) of Granville, OH; his grandchildren: Blake (Hazel) and Jace Nixon, Ainsley Beldon, Sofia and Jaxon Blowers, and great-grandson Rowan Nixon; his siblings, Michael D. (Martha) Blowers, Nanette T. (Dan) Miller, Amy L. Dozier, and Matthew R. (Jennifer) Blowers; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by brothers Daniel T. and John Patrick Blowers, and sister Laura Beth Blowers.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials in Chris’ name be made to the Salvation Army of Newark, 250 East Main Street, Newark, Ohio 43055.
