Funeral services celebrating the life of Charlotte Jean Walker, 87, of Newark, will be held at REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 1:00 P.M., Friday, January 3, 2025, with Deacon Patrick Wilson as celebrant. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 11:30 - 1:00 P.M., prior to the funeral service. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery will follow services.

Charlotte died at The Ohio State University Medical Hospital on Monday, December 30, 2024. She was born in Blue Rock, Ohio on February 8, 1937, to the late Leon P. and Pauline (Kidd) Medley.

A parishioner of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Charlotte was retired from Licking Memorial Hospital where she worked as a manager in Food Services.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Charles Walker Jr., Roxanne (John) Holland, Mike Walker, Thomas (Barbara) Walker; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Berger; sisters-in-law, Florence (Paul "Luke") Medley and Elizabeth Walker; and several nieces and nephews; and her beloved canine companion, Zoey.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded by her husband, Charles; son, Jeff Walker; sister, Mavis (Quentin) Cullison; brothers-in-law, Roger Berger, James, Paul and John Walker; sisters-in-law, Blanche Reynard and Caroline (Walter) Glasmeier; and nephews, David and Terry Walker.
