Funeral services for Charles Richard "Rick" Newman, 56, of Heath, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 6:00 P.M., Friday, December 4, 2015 with Mr. David Musick as celebrant. Friends and family may call from 4-6 P.M., prior to the funeral service.

Rick, a graduate of Lakewood High School, died at his residence on Thursday, November 26, 2015. He was born in Newark on July 8, 1959 to Charles R. (Kaye) Newman Sr. of Florida, and the late Zelda Alberta (Pierce) Newman.

Rick, the owner and operator of Newman Excavating, was a kind hearted father who loved NASCAR and his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge, Newark Eagles and was a Freemason.

In addition to his father, Rick is survived by his wife, Ramona (Crowley) Newman; his children, Amanda (Mike) Martin, Thomas Jacob Newman, Christopher Ryan Newman; grandchildren, Adalyn and Melody Martin, sisters, Vickie Meisenhelder (Eddie Stack) and Sharon (Donald) Peacock; sister-in-law, Debra Bodiford; step-sister, Chris Davis; father-in-law, Christopher Doneff; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, Rick was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Elizabeth A. (Walkup) Doneff.
