A Funeral Mass for Charles James Pellerite, 92, of Newark, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 27, 2016 with Rev. JCP Sullivan, Parish Priest as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with military honors provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.

Charles, a United Sates Army WWII Veteran, died at his home on Sunday, October 23, 2016. He was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania on November 29, 1923 to the late Joseph and Phyllis (Amoroso) Pellerite.

Charlie was a 1941 graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School and worked for many years at Kaiser Aluminum and was retired from South Wire Aluminum. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Sons of Italy Rinascimento Lodge, and 3rd Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus 721 where he was also Past Grand Knight.

He is survived by his children, Joseph (Darlene) Pellerite, George (Peggy) Pellerite, Phyllis (Randy) Edwards, and Susan (Tim) Coulson; 4 grandchildren, Anne, Joe Jr., Tony, and Roseanne; 6 great-grandchildren Dante, Cristian, Andrew, Brady, Bixie, and Henry; sister-in-law, Charlotte Mihalka; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Pauline L. (Mihalka) Pellerite; his grandson, David; and his brother, Frank Pellerite.

Friends and family may call at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 6-8 P.M., Wednesday, October 26, 2016 where the Sons of Italy will conduct a service and an honor guard will be provided by the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Bishop Michael J. Ready Assembly 0830.

The family requests that memorials in Charles' name be made to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box, 430, Newark, Ohio 43058.
