Calling hours for Charles Michael Mehok, 64, of Newark will be held from 4-7 P.M., Thursday, October 23, 2014, at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark. Graveside Inurnment services will be held in Wilson Cemetery at a later date.

Mike died at his home on Sunday, October 19, 2014. He was born in Newark, Ohio on March 12, 1950 to the late Charles and Bettie J. (Hickenbottom) Mehok.

He was retired from Owens Corning where he worked as a pipefitter for many years. Over the years, Mike quietly supported many charitable organizations, especially those helping children and animals.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Shane and Angie Mehok of Warsaw, and Jamie and Dr. Scott Jolly of Granville; his grandchildren, Drew, Madison, Liam, Jordan, Rowan, Avery, Damon, and Taryn; his sisters, Linda (David) Berry Schiefer and Janice (Charlie) Deese of Liberty Heights, S.C.; nieces and nephews, Misty (Gale) Amacher, Brian Berry, and Jennifer (Scott) Wiles; and his beloved cats, Spooky and Shadow.

Memorials in Mike's name may be made to a cause very dear to him, the Licking County Animal Shelter; or the Licking County Humane Society,
