A Funeral Mass for Catherine A. (Iacobellis) Provin, 83, of Newark, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Monday, December 22, 2014, with Rev. JCP Sullivan, Parish Priest, as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Catherine, a lifelong parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, died at the Selma Markowitz Care Center of Hospice of Central Ohio on Wednesday, December 17, 2014. She was born in Newark, Ohio on September 3, 1931 to the late Frank and Rose (Marzano) Iacobellis.

Catherine was a 1950 graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School and has remained close friends and played cards with her classmates since this time. She worked for Newark City Schools as a cashier in the lunchroom of Newark High School, Building C, for 25 years. She was also a charter member of the Newark Elks Lodge Ladies Auxiliary where she was secretary and submitted their news announcements for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Gerald Provin, of the home; her daughters and sons-in-law, Gayle and Jan Miller, and Patti and Steve Claggett, all of Newark; her 4 grandchildren, Jenette (Rusty) Redman, Valerie Fox (fiancé, Justin Woodyard), all of Newark, Michael Miller of New York City, and Angela Miller (fiancé, David Jones) of New Albany; her 2 great-grandchildren, Logan and Alexa, plus 1 great-grandchild on the way; her sister, Rita Iacobellis of Newark; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn (Thomas) Dawson; and her infant brother, Oranzo.

Friends and family may call from 2-5 P.M., Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil Service will be held at 4:30 P.M.
