A Funeral Mass for Carol Ann Corby, 74, of Newark, will be held at St.
Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Monday, August 22, 2016 with
Rev. JCP Sullivan, Parish Priest as celebrant. Interment will follow in St.
Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Carol died at her home on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. She was born in
Newark, New Jersey on November 18, 1941 to the late Joseph and Mildred
(Schimpf) Sexton.
Carol was an Honorary Member of the 20th Century Club supporting Camp O'Bannon
for many years and also served on the Camp O'Bannon Board. She was a former
member of the Licking Memorial Twigs, United Way Allocation Committee, and
Girl Scout Leader for her daughter's troop.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joseph Corby; her children,
Kelly (Stu) Moultrie; Christopher Corby, and Maribeth (Glenn) Sharp;
grandchildren, Avery, Ryleigh, Evan, and Patrick; sister-in-law, Beth
Sexton; two nieces and one nephew.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Jay
Sexton.
Friends and family may call at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave
Drive, Newark, 2-5 P.M., Sunday, August 21, 2016 where a Vigil Service will
be held at 4:30 P.M.
In honor of her devotion to Camp O'Bannon, the family requests that
memorials in Carol's name be made to the 20th Century Club Foundation; PO
