A Funeral Mass for Carlton "Carl" H. Bormann Jr., 69, of Newark, will be held at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 10:30 A.M., Friday, September 9, 2016 with Rev. JCP Sullivan as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with military honors provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
Carlton died at his home on Sunday, September 4, 2016. He was born in Rome, New York on December 3, 1946 to the late Carlton H. and Elizabeth (Meyers) Bormann Sr.
Carlton, a 1965 graduate of Newark High School, was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran and member of the VFW, American Legion Post 85, and the Newark Moose Lodge. He was retired from Kaiser Aluminum and was a member of the United Steelworkers Union Local 314.
He is survived by his sons, Jason (Milly) Bormann and Jeremy Bormann; his granddaughter, Samantha Bormann; his brothers, Fred (Wilda) Bormann and Paul (Trudie) Bormann; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Carlton was preceded in death by his former wife, Diana Jane (Glass) Bormann.
Friends and family may call from 4-7 P.M., Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil Service will be held at 6:30 P.M.
