Graveside funeral services for Charles Christopher Scaffide, 59, of Newark, will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, 10 A.M., Wednesday, September 11, 2024, with Chaplain Dave Mason as celebrant.

Chris, a United States Army Veteran, died at the Selma Markowitz Care Center of Hospice of Central Ohio on Thursday, April 25, 2024. He was born in Newark, Ohio on January 25, 1965, to the late Charles E. Scaffide and Janet A. (Adams) Scaffide.

A 1983 graduate of Heath High School, Chris was the assistant manager at Heath Auto Zone, a job he truly loved. He often listened to Heavy Metal music and was a fan of Horror movies, especially anything to do with Halloween.

Chris is survived by his aunts, Eleanor "Ellie" Hedges, Darla Scaffide (Ron Stanbery) and Cathy McNabb (Rich Show); his Goddaughter, Annabelle McSwain; and many cousins and family friends.

In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Peter (Rhoena) Scaffide and Barbara Mclaughlin Mills; and aunts and uncles, Jan Hedges, Danny (Pearl) Scaffide, Mary Ellen Williams, and Bobby Holtz.

The family requests memorials in Chris' name be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road, Newark, Ohio 43055.
